The shoes are mainly used on sandy soil (with a lot of sharp stones mixed in), some grass and a bit of tarmac. The sole is pretty tough and anti-slippery. I also use them in the gym. They are perfect for squats and on the leg press.

"Vibram Five Finger shoes are great. Since I got them they are my favorite footwear. I used to have pain in my lower back. Since wearing fivefingers that is a thing of the past.
